I Love Miss Earlene! and “I LOVE THAT GIRL!”
January 26, 2011
I am thrilled and excited about my upcoming episode on the new Martin Lawrence sitcom, “Love That Girl!,” starring Tatyana Ali. I play Miss Earlene, Tyana’s zany Godmother, who shows up on her doorstep by surprise—and has a few surprises herself. I not only had a ball playing this comedic role, I got to work with some of the same talented writers and producers who created other wonderful characters for me, from the vivacious vixen Vivica Shaw on “Sister, Sister,” to Bonita Walters of “40/40” on Bentley Evans’ “Jamie Foxx Show.”
Life is truly circular!
Here’s more about this exciting project….

But we were pre-empted by the huge Northridge, Earthquake. Heck - We knew we would shake the earth! Today, I still thank each and every one of you who watched “Rolonda!” for four successful seasons! Here are some of our best moments! Enjoy!

“The Story of 2011 - Blindfaith and Caring”
January 05, 2011
This story touched my heart so much. It proves what faith and caring can do. I cried like a baby when I watched Thomas Williams CBS interview this morning. The homeless man with the golden voice had some good news to report! We have a lot to learn from Thomas. Everyone deserves a second chance. Are you holding strong to a passionate faith in yourself today?

“Teen Sex at Home???”
December 28, 2010
Would you let your teenager have sex at home? You might be shocked at the number of teens having sex while their parents are away - some in their parents’ bed! But where do you draw the line? On one-hand, parents may have more knowledge and control over their kid’s sexual encounters—but, then again, those parents might also be sending the wrong message. I will never forget the day some Mothers battled it out on my stage from very opposing sides. Take a look in this episode of “RETRO RO!” Tell me how you feel after watching this clip…

“Rolonda Anchors WABC Eyewitness News - 1988”
December 28, 2010
Remember back in the day when I sat on the anchor desk and investigated news for WABC-TV. I loved that job, beating the streets of NYC, covering murder, mobs and mayhem. Being in the news business is a tough occupation, but one that certainly prepared me for so many other opportunities. Listen to the news we were reporting in 1988!

“A Christmas Card from The White House”
December 24, 2010
I was floored when I opened my mail box and found a letter from The White House inside. The First Family sent me a Christmas Card, signed by President Barack Obama, The First Lady, Michelle Obama, as well as the Presidential kids, Malia and Sasha. There’s even a paw print from Bo, the Presidential pooch! LOL I made this Christmas video so I could share the grand opening of that very special card with you! Happy Holidays, Everybody!

Ro’s Ribs
January 21, 2010
One of the things I love to do in my spare time is to cook up a good meal for my friends. As a Southern girl, I believe that a good home-cooked meal is like the difference between a long-distance phone call and hug at the front door. It’s just so special and so personal. Just recently, I took to the grill and made my famous ribs for some friends. I also made my special coleslaw, baked beans with bacon and molasses, fennel and mushroom salad, and corn bread. My girlfriend, JJ, is still talking about Ro’s Ribs! LOL…

Rolonda’s New Years Eve
January 12, 2010
I had the most amazing and magical New Year’s Eve this year as, with a kiss, I brought in 2010. I spent it with my family, friends, and my sweetie in Las Vegas, and, boy, did we have a blast!
Now, I am not a gambler, and never dreamed I would ever spend a New Year’s week in Vegas, but I could not resist the surprising invitation I got from Vincent Grucci of the Grucci fireworks family fame. They display some of the best firework shows on earth, from New York, to Dubai, Miami, and Las Vegas. Vinny invited me and mine to sit in the Grucci rooftop control tower while they blasted off the most awesome fireworks display from seven different locations throughout Sin City! It was off the chain!
I also got to see Bette Midler’s amazing show before it closes at the end of the month. Bette has forever been one of my favorite performers and, once again, she didn’t let me down.
I also saw the sexy, risque, and jaw-dropping “Zumanity” by Cirque du Soleil. (Glad we didn’t take Mom to that one! LOL ) My boyfriend, Tyrone, hit it big on the slots—so he treated me to a lovely spa day. We ate great food—had loads of laughs—lost loads of money—but had a great time. I even learned how to play Black Jack, Three-card poker, and now have more respect for The Wheel of Fortune Slot machine! Here’re some shots of our good times….

House Arrest
October 20, 2009

I am excited about my upcoming movie, “House Arrest,” in which I play my first leading role in a feature film.
I play the tough, hard-nosed, no-nonsense Probation Officer Wanda Davis.
The Game and Stacy Dash also star in the film, which is currently in post-production and directed by William Washington.
